Let's first revisit the designs shown in the Music Theory section, but put actual sound to them this time:

Recall that the chord created here is a simple 1, 5, octave (known as a powerchord to rock guitarists). Listen.

This simple design generates an octave. Listen.

The audio created by this design is an inverted F major chord (C-F-A). Listen.

This design (3:4:5) yields a musical 3rd, 4th, and 6th (E, F, A). Listen.

The navigation of this site was actually designed to not only look like crop circles, but to be played as audio as well. The graphic underlays behind the text at the top navigation bar produces music using set theory. The set produced in the normal state is an [0, 4, 8] set, which sounds the notes C, F sharp, and A flat. Listen.

The graphic appears in both a visual and musical inversion when the mouse is scrolled over one of the navigation buttons. The set is another [0, 4, 8] set, but this one contains the notes F sharp, D, and B flat. Listen.
